    • The Hunter And The Marked is the second in the The Lorradda Stone series and I would not recommend reading this as a stand alone book as it won't make a lot of sense if you do. Storms of Vengeance is the first book in the series. The writing is good and the editing is better in this one then it was in the first book. I had an easy time picturing the scenes and characters in the book and getting attached to them and finding myself caring about what happens to them. At the start of this book there [...]

    • I was wanting to like this book more than I did ;) It did have some interesting story lines, but in general was too confusing and slow. It had many story lines that didn't seem to connect or make any sense to me. Some of the characters were well developed yet others were not. It made it very hard at times to understand what was really going on. Maybe that was the intent, but I didn't like the way it was handled. I really did not like the ending. Maybe the next book when finished will help bring [...]

    • John Beachem does not disappoint in this book, which continues the story from Storms of Vengeance. Once again the characters are compelling and well-rounded, this aspect of Beachem's writing is definitely a strength. The storyline keeps the reader engaged, making it difficult to put down. I am looking forward to the next book in this series - talk about a cliff-hanger!!
