• Most books in the post-apocalypse genre have the same basic ideas, and scenarios. What makes them fun to read is how each author approaches their story. One thing you can usually depend on is a lot of action. What sets this story apart is two things: the main character, Mattie, and the setting. I know nothing about sailing, or boats, or living on the ocean, which is why I was drawn to this book. I wanted to see how a book in this genre would play out against such an unusual setting. Plus, I like [...]

    • Description: Alone now for a few years a 19 year old girl named Matai sails the seas looking for scavenge to bring back to her small community of survivors living on an island. She comes across a cargo ship wrecked on a small uncharted island. She finds loads of valuable items, but also an undead with powers unlike the other mindless zombies, and the secret of how the island has remained uncharted. In Short: I really loved this book and read it quickly! I recommend it to anyone who likes the soun [...]

    • So I picked this up having just finished a series of heavy books, wanting something trashy and terrible I could breeze through. It actually ended up being not half bad, to my great surprise. Likeable and surprisingly believable main character, interesting setting/plot and a feeling of tension that never lets up.Only things are it needs a bit of editing, and you can tell the guy who wrote it loves cruising, as it goes into a bit too much detail on various parts of sailing (and I say this a [...]

    • Fast pacedIt took me a minute to adjust to the authors writing style. Ultimately I'm glad I stuck with it. It was fast paced, with lots of action and ingenuity.

    • "DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING U HEAR"Scary, eerie and more. Infected mind games from an death associated psyche force. A gatherer of cannibalistic wants and needs. The belief and trust you've had instilled in you by your loving family to ALWAYS watch over you; the guidance fulfilled by a strong resistance to have your overtaken by pure evil. Intriguing

    • Good finishAside from needing better editing, the story ended better than I thought when I first started reading. But I've never been a big fan of the zombie stories and it's getting old. Also, I was hoping for more sailing. That said, I'll probably give the next book a chance when it's out.

    • Strong female protagonist in post-apocalyptic shipwreck Zombie-festEBB TIDE, is no more or less predictable than other Zombie-filled PA books. The action is fast-paced and relentless. The "by the skin of her teeth" escapes, perfect (gun) shots, last-second solutions to insurmountable problems and "missed (or made) by an inch" death-defying leaps, Zombie swipes or other implausible "how'd she do that's" are why we read PA lit -- Suspend belief, defy the laws of physics, and escape into literary e [...]

    • Great read! The tension is non-stop and the setting is truly unique. I hope this is the beginning of a series and I can't wait to read more!
