    • Georgiana "Georgie" Dudley is known as the Ice Duchess. Rafe, Lord Markham, is a retired spy for the Crown. They meet over a card game. Intrigue and sparks fly, but Rafe has enemies who could seek revenge for his spying activities. Can he keep Georgie safe from his enemies? Will love be enough to starve off his past? This is an easy read. We come to know a lot about the main characters, enough to make us care for them. Though there is no cliffhanger, we feel there is more left to the story. The l [...]

    • My review contains spoilers and they're mostly my thoughts for more, visit Punya ReviewsThis is what I thought in a nutshell. Looking at the reviews, I seem to be the minority here but it’s what it is. The Ice Duchess by Amy Rose Bennett wasn’t what I had anticipated it would be. I have been waiting for this one since I read book 1 of Scandalous Regency Widows, Lady Beauchamp's Proposal. While I absolutely adored book 1, this did not hold my attentions for long. Our h, Georgiana had a sad pa [...]

    • Mediocre The story is mediocre at best. Completely ridiculous actually. This book is carried by several explicit sex scenes. Besides that, there's not much more worth mentioning.I kept reading, kind of annoyed, giving it 2 stars but then occasionally encountering parts (mostly the sex scenes) that were better. I bet the story was written around the sex scenes!Anyway, I give it maybe 2.5 stars. If you want porn, this is the book for you. If you want a love story or any story that is even remotely [...]

    • Received in return for an honest review, naughtiness scale 4* Wow is not a word that should do this amazing book justice but is how I feel, completely loved the story and how it moved and wound to reach the end, it had me captivated to the point where I literally could not put it down, in parts was giggling in other parts shouting at my ereader at which point my son asked me if I was mad, without giving spoilers I can tell you that every possible emotion that can be felt will be, I definitely wa [...]

    • very hard to careGeorgie, the Duchess, is a widow who has had a traumatic experience 10 years ago. She's beautiful, rich, very much an aristocrat and boring. Rafe is handsome, charming, an ex-spy, and won't take no for an answer. Even when Georgie tells him why she's afraid to have sex, he is determined to get her in bed. There is a bit of a mystery. Overall this book is skipable. Even the sex scenes were skipable.

    • It was hard to tear myself away from the story of Lord Markham--former spy for the Crown--and Her Grace, Georgiana Dudley. It's a story that stirs the imagination - as these two passionate individuals meet and begin to fall in love. He is smart-and his instincts are still honed from his service with the Crown. Rafe Markham has been separated from his dangerous job for almost a yearbut he becomes convinced that some aspects of his job may never leave himd in fact may still be lurking- in the form [...]

    • This is the second book I have bought and read by Amy Rose Bennett. Let me start by saying, I do enjoy her writing style and I am a fan. I love Amy's strong heroines who as the story unfolds you discover has encountered some dreadful ordeal thus shaping the character you meet. In The Ice Duchess, you meet the beautiful Georgiana Dudley, a widow of nine years. Although the marriage was one of convenience for her sake and her brother's, returning to the social world of the ton, isn't of much inter [...]

    • Every single trope out thereInsta-love, spies, kidnapping, murder, marriage of convenience, duels, impractical situations for the time-period with a lack of social consequences and more. I wouldn't have continued reading if the editing sucked, hence 2 stars instead of one, but I usually hesitate to DNF a book. I've certainly read worse books. I won't be rereading it though.

    • I loved Amy Rose Bennett's new book the ice duches. I love the characters and the plot. Georgiana Dudley, the ‘Ice Duchess’, so she wants an affair. Society believes Rafe to be a diplomat but for many years but instead he has been a spy for the Crown. Rafe wants to find a wife. But when Rafe’s past returns to endanger Georgie, he is going protect her at all costs. I don't want to spoil everything in the story, but it was a great read. I can't wait for her next book.

    • I was provided a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. This was my first time reading something by this author and I loved it from page one. This is a very steamy read, but it doesn't take away from the story. I loved that even though her marriage was a marriage of convenience they both truly cared for each other and were best friends. There is so much in this book to love and to figure out. They were meant to be together and they kept being thrown together until she let down her s [...]

    • Sizzling Regency romance! 4.5 starsAnother page turner with Amy Rose Bennett's new novel, The Ice Duchess! I love historical romance set in the Regency era! In this novel, the love scenes are written with tenderness and passion! Beautiful chemistry between Georgiana and Rafe. This author's words flew off the pages—I could not put it down! As soon as I started to read The Ice Duchess, I was pulled into the story and it kept me wanting more. The Ice Duchess tells the story of Georgiana, a young w [...]

    • The Ice Duchess, book two in Amy Rose Bennett's Scandalous Regency Widows series, is another extensively well drawn work by this author. When Georgiana Dudley the widowed Duchess of Darby is introduced to Rafe Landsbury the newly named Earl of Markham their attraction is indisputable. Each harboring secrets that could destroy any viable life together, the acute tension in their courtship was evident from the start. A very well orchestrated seduction on the part of the hero made this a dangerous s [...]

So they have dragged her back to London for the season. She has no interest in finding another husband or even a lover. Her past has damaged her forever. • Intriguing story. Reviews:Notice: This review has spoilers. I received a copy of "The Ice Duchess" by Amy Rose Bennett through a giveaway. This book was difficult for me to write a review for. I was intrigued by the creative storyline of the Duchess and her marriage of convenience to her best friend and her twin brother's lover, and to the building suspense of what nightmarish atrocity had she endured that change her into the ice hearted woman she became. For me personally there were a few reaso [...]

    • Rafe and Georgie. I'm not got to give a synopsis of the story, since most other reviewers have done a much better job than I could. I, personally, had a number of problems with this book. First, and foremost, Georgie was a spoiled brat. When she lost at cards on multiple occasions? She got mad and pouted. She did nothing but bad-mouth Rafe, but when he first kissed her she was all over him like a blanket. She practically has sex with him and then when he calls her Georgie she replies, "I have no [...]

    • A suspenseful Regency romance, The Ice Duchess kept my interest all the way through. The meeting between Georgiana Dudley and Rafe, the Earl of Markham sets off sparks and despite Georgie's vow to never become embroiled with any man ever again, she is unwittingly pulled into a competitive relationship with Rafe. Once Rafe sets out to win Georgie over, she finds that she doesn't have the weapons to withstand his overtures. The seduction of Georgie is gentle and sweet, however the story does becom [...]

    • Georgiana has been through a lot in her young 28 years, being a widow and suffering a tragic experience in a previous relationship. Rafe is a retired spy who has a past of his own, including a regret about a mission where he had to choose his country over saving his lover. Their attraction is immediate, and grows as they begin to reveal more secrets. I liked them both, but for awhile they didn't seem to talk enough to make them fall in love. Things became more intensified as the book went on, so [...]

    • Hot and SteamyLoved, loved the book!! Georgina was married to her husband for 9 yrs but it was a marriage of convenience only since Teddy was her brothers lover since Cambridge!! Since Teddy passed unexpectedly a yr ago Georgina is out of morning. They call her the Ice Duchess and Lord Markham is going to melt her ice!! Georgina is called the Ice Duchess because she doesn't want a man getting close to her. She was terribly traumatized 10 yrs ago by Lord Craven and she has never told her brother [...]

    • Georgina married a man who was her brother's lover. She gained a good friend but not exactly a husband. He died a year ago and now friends and her brother are trying to find a man for her. She doesn't want one. She had a horrible past and prefers to keep her future to herself. However, Rafe is intrigued by her and they suddenly find themselves kissing on the terrace. But something isn't right. Race a former spy feels something is wrong. Time proves him right. This is a well written suspense nove [...]

    • Georgiana is a recent widow with a lot of hidden history, Rafe, Lord Markham is now back in England after "diplomatic" service. His past and hers impact on them, so when they meet having been set up by their friends, they connect, but their relationship is dogged by a resurgence of their pasts getting in their way. A fast paced and very readable story. Sometimes adventurous, sometimes romantic and sometimes steamy. I read this not having the first in the series and I feel it stood up well as a s [...]

    • EnjoyableThis is a nice steamy regency romance. The only flaw is that the heroine is silly at times, endangering herself and her brother, even when she knows someone is stalking her. So often authors write historical heroines who disregard safety and sense because they want to charter their own course or think they know best. So although this isn't a new flaw, I still wish such heroines would use a bit more common sense. When they do, I reward those books with 5 stars.

    • This story happened in 1816. Unfortunately it contained modern words such as "cut & run" & "c*cksure." Rafe a retired spy for The Crown was an earl. & Georgiana her gay husband's widow. Rafe thought heroine stunningcynical and prickly. She thought hero self-assured & an odious/ conceited peacock. Hero had 2 baddies to deal with. Georgie's gradual thaw-ing of emotions highlighted the story. Sex scenes, excepting the 1st, came across as more of the same. Amixed effort.

    • Such a disappointment!Loved the story, but the ending was such a disappointment. Yes she got her man, but it was a blah ending to a good story, I'm sure this writer had a better way of ending this, it reads like a rush, and not matching the other part of this work, anticlimactic.

    • No insipid debutants here! From their first meeting Georgie is confused and overwelmed by the strength of her attraction to Lord Markham. Due to her history, she's very cautious. It doesn't take Markham long to realize she has some dark secrets and he softens his approach. Then his past comes back to haunt him. Well-written page turner with some suspense.

    • I LOVED THIS BOOK !!!If you like historical romance. You have got to read this book! I couldn't put it down. In fact, I had audioon reading it to me. But, I had to stop it about half way through this book. And start reading it myself. I didn't want to miss a single word of this story. And it has ALOT OF AWE REACTIONS !!!

    • The Ice DuchessHere is another wonderful story by Amy Rose Bennett. It was hard to put down this book. The story was about a Duchess that treated badly when she first came out and then married for convenience then her husband died and how her cold heart melted away. I hope you will enjoy reading this story as much as I did.

    • Hero or Coward? This was good story up until the end. Rage is a coward. He makes a promise he doesn't keep and then expects Georgiana to just fall in line when she becomes pregnant with his child. He knew when he left her she could have been pregnant. Then he seduces her into saying yes which is bad as any torturer or terrorist.
