    • This is the second book in Eva Devon’s Duke’s Club series and what a deliciously wicked treat is was! Lots of ribald humour and sinfully sexy romance. How I imagine Jack…“I’m am not an archeological site, my lady. No matter how deep you dig, there is no hidden treasure to be found.”Jack is just the sort of hero I have a weakness for…a rogue with a vulnerable side. His father had constantly instilled in Jack the belief that he would never be anything but a failure. This belief is so [...]

    • "A wife will spy upon her husband" The first line in Eva Devon's new book caught me and never let go. Sometimes when I do a review I have trouble putting in to words how much I really liked the book. In this case I have no problem saying I Loved this book from the first sentence to the last. Her writing is stunningly descriptive, deeply emotional and hystericallly funny. I have not laughed this much reading a book in a long time. Her characters are intelligent, captivating and funny as hell!!! I [...]

    • A feisty heroine, a naughty duke, a marriage by gambling proxy, a loveable Dowager Duchess & debauchery retreat make a FIRE EXTINGUISHERS REQUIRED romance!Cordelia Eversleigh, Duchess of Hunt, was married by proxy at the age of 10 to the 2nd son of a duke, thanks to her gambling dad. She grew up unconventional with following her archeological dad, unhappy mom, a pack of brothers that needed her beotch slaps upside their heads, desert sheiks, uppity aristocrats, archeological digs galore & [...]

    • This was one of those stories I can honestly say I liked each character from start to finish. Even the eccentric and peculiar, secondary ones. Our hero Jack was indeed a rake, not only by description but by deeds and actions. So much so that he was borderline jerkish and petulant but funny thing is that he was also charming and witty. And he was ok with his character, or rather lack of, which in turn gave him an interesting personality. “’There. Now, isn't that civilized?’He was tempted to [...]

    • Dreaming of the Duke (Duke’s Club Book #2) by Eva DevonOverview by :Cordelia Eversleigh, Duchess of Hunt, has spent her entire life in Egypt, sifting through the sands, cavorting with the local tribes, and uncovering the tombs of glorified ancient Egyptian accountants. Now, all she wishes is to go to Paris and study the mysteries of the hieroglyph. There's only one problem. She needs to annul her marriage to the husband she has never met. But when she comes face to face with the infamous duke, [...]

    • Originally given 4.5 hearts at Rookie Romance. This is a charming, funny and downright romantic story from Eva Devon and the latest in the Duke's Club series.Cordelia is a wonderfully refreshing and unconventional heroine. She's forthright and honest, with a sharp sense of humour. She's practical and wants to be free to pursue her work, but finds herself encumbered by an absentee husband. She goes to London to seek an annulment, but finds her plan soon goes awry when she meets her husband. I love [...]

    • I truly enjoyed this book. it had me laughing and yelling all at the same time. Cordelia Duchess of Hunt is in search of her husband by poxy who has failed to come and retrieve her when she became of age. She doesn't seek him out because she wants a marriage, she does is because she desperately wants an annulment from a marriage that she doesn't believe is truly legal. Cordy, as she is know by her friends, follows her wayward husband about trying to find an opportunity to speak with him. When sh [...]

    • #2 in the "Duke's Club". What a wonderful tale of romance and past secrets. When hearts are broken from other sources, can two people find the love of their lives? Follow, Cordelia Eversleigh, Duchess of Hunt, the wife of Jack Eversleigh, now the Duke of Hunt, her long lost husband as they navigate the waters of love and seduction. They where married at a very young age and now Cordelia, has decided it's time to put an end to their marriage, since she has not seen or heard from Jack in years. A [...]

    • I read this in a day! Great romance for Cordella and Jack, who were married by proxy as children & had never lived on the same continent, let alone met each other. Cordella comes to London to get an annulment, and needless to say they are immediately attracted to each other, and Jack doesn't want her to go back to the continent. Besides the steamy scenes and the obvious love for each other, they each don't feel that they are good enough for the other. Cordy is actually the stronger personali [...]

    • Aaaaaarghhhh!!! This book was such a deceptionh! Through all of it, it was a bearable story with funny moments and the end The end killed it. I'm in such a rage for it, so to sum up if the heroine wouldn't have ended up pregnant there wouldn't be a happy ending at all, seriously? Crappy love. Even when he said he loved her the only thing I kept thinking was because of the baby if not then you would have let her go No way, for me it ruined the whole book. Ugh!

    • I enjoyed reading "Dreaming of a Duke", it has the type of heroine and hero that I can relate to. It had a perfect combination of passion, romance, love and some comedic moments. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

    • MEH. I WAS QUITE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS ONE. AFTER READING THREE STORIES OF THIS SERIES, I REALIZED HOW REPETITIVE THE AUTHOR'S PLOTS WERE. Hero meets heroine, some form of seduction occursd then it's always the hero who gets cold feet or is tied down by the ghosts of his past, leaving the heroine tattered before he finally mans up to do the right thing.OUR HERO was someone I was intrigued with when he was introduced and frankly I read this series backwards so I assumed Jack to be quite the aust [...]

    • I want to give this book a 4 star rating but the ending really ruined it for me. I loved the book untill the sudden radical change in Jack suddenly all of his past deamons are gone the just like that. Its a nice idea that people change the way they think about things in a split secound but it was just too much for my personal taste.

    • Love it!Aww poor Cordy and Jack both trapped by their pasts I loved them and begged them a happy ever after! Can't wait to start book 3! This series is proving troublesome I can't put it down!

    • I really enjoyed the banter between the protagonists. I wanted to see more of the previous lead couple. They were very much in the sad background. If there was a small cute moment here and there of them; it would have been amazing.

    • GoodMore unique than most regency novels. Corey is bright and strong and feminine. hard for that era and for now

    • Loving itLoving this series, the touching way their love came about was awesome. Now on to book 3. Happy Reading. Get your copy today😀😀😀

    • RATING: 4.5 Out Of 5 Stars"A Feisty and Tough Heroine""A Swoon-Worthy, But Troubled Hero""A Romantic Journey From Beginning to End! Cordelia Eversleigh, the Duchess of Hunt, has returned to London, and has resulted in stalking her own husband, Jack Eversleigh, the Duke of Hunt, to get one thing from him an annulment. After following him into a place where no lady should go, she finally gets a chance to talk to him. After some light banter between them, Cordelia is about to tell him who she is an [...]

    • Errors beyond imaginableEvery person who has spent even a penny on this novel should be refunded their money. There are a minimum of 3 errors per page. The grammatical errors are so bad, they completely distract the reader from the story. Some of them are such that the reader isn't sure even the intended meaning of the passage. There's even incomplete sentences. Not just subject verb conjugation incomplete but incomplete as in the rest of the sentence was deleted leaving a huge gap! Who in the W [...]

    • I really enjoyed this book and it is the new clean version. It start out where Cordelia is searching for the duke jack who is her husband by proxy because she wants a divorce or annulment. She meets jack in a pub and he thinks she is a lady wanting to be denounced. Then they get interrupted before she can tell him who she is. Later Jack is told when he goes to see her because he can't stop thinking about her. Then he accuses her of being as bad as he is in sleeping around as they call it. But al [...]

    • LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO TEARS, CRYING ALL THE WAY TO LAUGHTERTightly spiralling humor, integrated plot, passion and lust for life. All are abundant in Dreaming of the Duke, which has a clever, resourceful heroine, and a dark, tragi-comical hero. Plus his wild family, and her intense brothers. And his grandmother, who truly takes the cake six ways from Sunday. The book is sexy, but in some places so incredibly humorous that the rest disappears. Above all, this is a romance, with a huge starving o [...]

    • I loved this story of a pre-arranged marriage. These are two very strong-willed personalities, and when they meet head on, it makes for a feisty and entertaining story. Wonderful writing, as always, from this author. She always seems to find a way to put an interesting little twist on the often predictable regency storytelling. Delightful, engaging characters and story. Definitely want to read more by this author.

    • Really enjoyed reading this bookI loved the heroiner once, a woman who doesn't fall down the moment she meets a handsome dukee's wonderfulAnd she's a handful.h of fresh air! We see male ignorance and insufferable vanity at its peak. An absolute must read. I hated, the book coverIt stinks as does the title boring.but the plot is great. Could've used a decent editor for typos, misspellings and grammatical errors also.

    • Dreams do come true. For those who dare to be original this is a story for you. Eva Devon gives us a refreshing light story of a different variety. Banter and stubborn characters =galore to rally and root for. A must read.

    • A sultry book that takes an oft-repeated plot (wagered child-bride), adds a similar groom, then keeps them separate while building them into what might modestly be called "unique" adults. I was particularly impressed with the humor the author infused nearly every situation with.

    • Enjoyable read Like the previous book on this series I felt that more could have been written about why the character loathed himself so much. However there is something enjoyable about the characters and plot it's just a shame they are not explored to there full potential

    • This was a brilliant read. I enjoyed every minute of it. Loved Cordy & Jack's characters, and Cordy had such a strong personality. Loved the funny bits, especially when Cordy's brothers appear. I hope we see Charles again toohe needs someone special.
