    • Audrey is a sexual outlaw, slave to a Latin rhythm, a C-section child of the seventies. She's a rabid panther trapped in the fetid, jungle heat of the Number 14, Bonnedale bus.And she's sitting right behind you for the third time this month. This can't be chance. She's there for a reason. She smells your fear like a dog would. She's not just another white girl with damaged hair. She's a python sweating off the dead skin of a black spandex tube dress. Her headset is full of Bob Marley reggae, and s [...]

    • 1.5 - 2 Stars / 5 StarsThis wasn't bad. It wasn't great. It wasn't too memorable. From the way early days of Chuck, this story can be found hidden in the shadows - or on the cult (chuckpalahniuk). From 1990, Chuck tells the story of 'that' girl every body knows. That girl sitting at the back of the bus, dressed in black, with an attitude that cuts like a knife. If you look into this story, you can find little gems of lines that encompass Chuck's literary genius hidden in the language of his earl [...]

    • Chuck Palahniuk's first published work is this short story that doesn't rely on shock value to be interesting and grab your attention. It's about a guy who fantasizes about the girl who sits behind him on the bus and imagines what his life would be like if they were together. But of course, there's a huge gap between fantasy and reality. If you deny something similar ever happening to you, I suspect you're lying.4.5

    • Negative Reinforcement by Chuck PalahniukAn amazing short by Chuck Palahniuk. writen from his early days as a writer, i think he was around 20 years old. Just a dude on a bus that could be any of us. He thinks he see a girl that he knows and his mind runs with any and all possibilities of their future together. I think we all have done this, just a great short story that was fun to read and see that i'm not alone in those thought processes.

    • We've all had people in our lives that weren't just up to par with society standards. Meet the guy on the bus having that reintroduction to someone from his past.
