    • As my first children's picture book, I am amazed this came out as good as it did. I am excited in writing more and having my second coming out next summer. Since "Annie's Special Day" is my first it will always have a special place in my heart. Just like a first love. My affair with my first book is still going on as I get to talk about it to teachers, kindergartners and first graders. I LOVE doing that. My thanks go out to my readers and I hope to touch each one's lives a little bit as you read [...]

    • This is a very cute and wonderfully illustrated picture book. Annie spends her birthday counting down the hours doing special things. Children will have a fun time looking at the clocks and learning a bit about time as well.

    • Opening/Synopsis: “Already awake and excited, Annie heard the alarm go off. The clocked showed 7 o’clock in the morning, and the sun painted her bedroom walls and toys with a golden glow.” It’s Annie’s birthday and she is determined to make the most of each hour. Follow Annie through her day as every hour is filled with a new activity. At four o’ clock her brother plays and sings Happy Birthday to Annie. At 5 o’clock, her mommy is preparing her special birthday meal. At 7 o’clock [...]

    • Writing a review for a kids book is difficult because each child is different. What one likes another might detest. So here's what I can sayWhen the book came, I let my son open the package! He was excited for a new book. We're a big book family. We read it at bed time. He loved helping me read the different clocks and asked lots of questions- a clear sign he was interested. My son is about to turn 5 and although I had got him a watch before, he wasn't that interested in figuring out time- until [...]

    • Thanks go to the author who provided me with my review copy. There is a pretty set rhythm throughout the book that will be pleasing to little kids' ears. It will also help direct them to pay special attention to the words when the pattern is not used. This is good as it differentiates around the most exciting part of the book: the sleepover!I enjoyed the descriptions that were usually in the third sentence on every page as well as the creatively different ways the author found for Annie to know t [...]

    • Annie's Special Day is a colorful story about how Annie celebrates her birthday. She is going to have a sleepover that night and in typical little kid fashion, she is counting the hours until it is time for her party. Each page has wonderfully bright and colorful drawings depicting the hour's adventure. The words in the story also say what time it is and a clock can be found on every page. This story is designed to help you teach your kids how to tell time (hours only). I can see this story lead [...]

    • I am so pleased that my daughter helped me read this book! Below is her review (she is 9)."This book is definitely for younger kids than me--probably preschool or kindergarten age--and it is a great way to introduce little kids to the different times and hours of the day. I really enjoyed the story, and the pictures were great. I did not like reading it on my mom's kindle. It would have been easier to read in a regular book. But I sure liked it!"I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my [...]

    • I won this book, but it's one I would have been happy to buy, because it is so good. My 7-year-old son LOVED this book! He said his favorite part was finding the clock on each page and reading the time. I loved the cute, educational storyline, the colorful pictures, and the use of 24 different kinds of clocks. Mostly, though, I enjoyed seeing my child excited to turn the page. :)
