    • I read this book to my Firsties in honor of MLK, Jr. day, the upcoming African American History month and for an introduction to informative writing and biographies. This book nicely suits all of these bills. Plenty of pictures and it kept their interest for over a half hour, which is saying a lot when dealing with six and seven year olds.

    • Read this with my 5 yr old. He was just amazed that things were so (in his words) "unfair". Nicely written & easy to read, while being very informative.

    • Good read for Black History Month. A solid overview of King's life with lots of glossy pictures and factoids/info bits on every page. Also liked the glossary and fact-check quiz at the end.
