    • This is a very interesting book about the months that Edward VIII was king and the circumstances and political manipulation that brought him to abdication. Before reading this book, I had thought that Edward chose to abdicate because he wanted Wallis Simpson to be queen. In fact, Edward was forced to abdicate by Prime Minister Baldwin and his cronies who maneuvered the king and public opinion.Recommended for anyone interested in royalty or this particular story.

    • I enjoyed this fast-paced account of the events leading up to the abdication as told from the diary of Lord Beaverbrook.
